Ultimate Heart Design Part 1: if you are ready to draw the ultimate heart design begin by drawing a heart shape and then to diagnose lines to create the banner. If you need help drawing the basic heart check out our heart drawing lessons it's a simple red heart that you will find on hearts page or watch the video at the bottom of this page where you can follow along.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 2: Complete the banner for this heart design by adding wavy parts to the ribbon on the right and the left. Then draw a word or phrase across the banner. In this case I wrote be mine, as in "won't you be mine "or "be my Valentine." This heart design would make a great Valentine's Day card.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 3: To show how your love soars, give your heart design wings.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 4: Sometimes love is described as a burning passion. Add a circle of flames around your design to show the intensity of the love in this heart design.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 5: Love can also pierce to our inner most self, so add an arrow piercing through the heart. The video drawing lesson will help guide you through each of these steps.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 6: Using a marker or pen, outline the drawings carefully.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 7: Add shading and detail with a finer point pen. In the step pictured, we've added shading primarily to the ribbon, to the heart and to the arrow.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 8: Continuing with the shading shady a rose flight and point also the underside of the wings and shade around the outside of the heart. The shading that is on the flame drawing surface should move out towards the tips of the flames. Also draw a thin line inside the outer edge of the flames.
Ultimate Heart Design Part 9: Now color your heart design with colored pencils markers or watercolors. You could even use crayons or any other coloring media.
