How to Draw Cartoon Characters
"Pippa from Jumbalees"
If you like to draw cartoon characters, Pippa from The Jumbalees is yet another funny character to draw. Pippa is very fond of Leon but is disappointed by his apparent lack of interest. She is an equal to Leon and is respected by the others except perhaps by Hoppy. Pippa is very protective of Myrtle and will often have to explain things to her.

Cartoon Character Drawing 1: Start with a few simple ovals and circles to define the head and body. Use the grid to help you set them up. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 2: Add more circles for her hair and draw in her cheekline, nose, legs and skirt. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 3: Refine her hair and ribbons. Position the ovals for her eyes and mouth. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 4: Almost there. Finish her eyes by adding lashes and pupils. Draw her arms. I’ve used circles so that you do not lose the roundness of the character. Refine her mouth and add the pattern on her legs and you’re ready for the final stage. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 5: Ink in your drawing and try to add character to the line by varying the thickness. Look closely at how I have done this. |
