How to Draw Cartoon Characters

If you like to draw cartoon characters, Leon from The Jumbalees is yet another funny character to draw. Leon is the leader of the group and is always reasonable and responsible. He takes charge of a situation and is respected by the others. He is the one who everyone wants to be best friends with but shows no favour. Pippa thinks he is wonderful and would like to be his girlfriend.

Now let's get started with "Draw Cartoon Characters 'Leon From Jumbalees'." |

Cartoon Character Drawing 1: Let’s start with a few oval shapes to form the shape of his head and body. Use the grid to help in positioning them. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 2: Now we can add some recognisable form to the image. Draw his head shape first the shape then draw in the hairline. Add the arms and legs and this stage is complete. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 3: Time to start dressing him. It’s always easier to add clothes to a figure if you can see the structure underneath. Try to get a gentle curve at the bottom of his T-shirt, shorts and sleeve. This is how the fabric should hang off him. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 4: The facial features can now be added. His eyebrows do go above his hairline (this only happens in cartoons). Draw in the ear and mouth (following the oval shape you drew at the start). Add the teeth and finish the detail on his t-shirt. |

Cartoon Character Drawing 5: Add the final details and then you can ink in the lines. You can add character to the drawing by using thick and thin lines. . |
